I grew up in Denver, Colorado and briefly lived in New York City to attend a small liberal arts college in 2004. It was the only college I applied to due to its structure of not immediately choosing one path of study, which felt both logical and aligned on a deep level.
I returned to Denver to study art & design and as I continued working the food and beverage industry, I still felt that pursuing only one subject, craft, or career didn’t quite fit. New interests would arise and I became hard on myself for not being fully dedicated to one thing.
It was at that point, in 2014, that I met with my first Life Coach. Among other things, she facilitated meaningful growth and helped me come to the realization that having a hand in multiple things and following my curiosities was not a fault. My desire to have multiple projects was not something to exhaust myself fighting, but instead a fundamental element of what I need to feel fulfilled, motivated and alive.
After years of normalizing heavy alcohol use, I took a substantial break from drinking in 2019 and in the process of examining my relationship with alcohol, also became enamored with the science of addiction, psychology, neuro-plasticity, human behavior, awareness, and different ways of knowing. The actual science and knowledge about my anatomy and patterns led me down on an entirely new path of exploration, self-dedication and hope.
I love food, plants, design, color, creating, reading, writing, movement, self growth, and connection. I have been able to continue my education as an Herbalist and Coach, work as a teacher, and truly find support in my process, amidst the ongoing gifts and challenges of forging my own path.
